cool car but those Mopars had lousy suspensions and tiny little door hinges and hood hinges, they were a rattle box. and they rotted out hard. I’d never pay 74k for that car.
I don’t normally reply to readings, but this time I couldn’t help myself.
I have owned chevys, fords, and mopars.
I like them all, my drag car is a mopar.
Can you tell me why most mopars are worth more than a Chevy or a ford?
Suspensions? They had a leaf spring rear just like allot of chevys and fords, actually the torsion bar front suspensions are still utilized in newer trucks of the today.
Rotted out? All US cars built back in the 60’s and 70’s would rot out if you left them out in the elements.
When these cars were built they were designed to last maybe 10/15 years, not 50 or 60….
By the way, a unit body car with a proper cage installed has the rigidity advantage over a car with a frame under it.
But I will agree to the small door hinges.
I saw a video of one online, where it blew its entire rear axle off. My guess is that it wasn’t it’s power, but rust, since mopars weren’t big on full frames. Saved weight but these cars just weren’t built to last. If you’ve ever seen the resto work done on most those mopars, at least half the cars is all new repo metal, if not considerably more.
The red Dart that was tubbed , narrowed , etc …… and quite likely a bogus video ?
Yeah , I saw that one too.
Didn’t deem it evidence worthy of anything but our gullibility.
interested
I like it!
There are a lot of good ones out there that were not rust buckets and I have two that are very solid!! Why would this one not be one of those? Are you making an asumption here?
Charger, which started from the old Dart, but the Dart in 1968 was a “mid-size” variant of the Valiant.
You can tell the butt hurt guys in this comment section have been pulled down the dragstrip their whole life by Mopars! Untrue comments.
And the red Dart that lost the rearend had a ladder bar rear suspension that wasn’t welded correctly by a shop!
I’ve been around cars for a long time, Always loved Mopar products! They had some exciting and fast cars. They had some great motors and transmissions. If you are in an area where cars tend to rust, they will ALL rust. Some makes and models a little more than others, but they all do. It’s not uncommon for high performance cars to dump rear ends and transmissions at the line, it’s just the nature of the sport, unless you have a big budget for expensive trannies and rear ends.
I’ve owned and built several MOPARs. None of them had rust problems outside the typical small areas behind the rear wheels that ALL cars have after 40-50 years. This one looks nice and obviously runs very well.
Check out all that exposed wiring under the dash. I would tuck that up and repost.
Just trying to help.

Morning Haters !
I’ve owned and built/ had built many cars.
Chevy products rot just the same.
I wouldn’t pay 74K for this vehicle.
I believe if your going to own a classic
You build it from ground up. Now you know your vehicle is 100%.
I’ve been a Chevy Guy my full life.
I would own a Mopar
