The folks over at 24 Hours of Lemons just announced a new service for people looking for a ride for the race, and captains and teams looking for drivers for their cars. Keeping to the overall wackiness of the event, they’re calling this new matchmaking service “OK Stupid.”
Here’s how it works. Let’s say you’re not going to have a car to drive at this year’s 24 Hours of Lemons, but you still want to race. Head on over to the OK Stupid site and fill out and submit the “Free Agent” registration form. Captains and their teams that are looking for a driver for their driver-less cars can click the “Invite” button on the team’s Event Overview page and search the database of drivers looking for a ride. If true love, or at least a desire to work together once, blooms, make the date.
This doesn’t mean that the existing Drivers Looking for Teams and Teams Looking for Drivers sections in the Lemons Forum is no longer usable. OK Stupid is one more resource for teams and drivers to hook up. Check out the full 24 Hours of Lemons schedule and get in on the action.
