NHRA legend “Big Daddy” Don Garlits’ career is as big and loud as anybody’s but his newest Swamp Rat dragster is everything BUT loud. Garlits’ new battery-powered dragster sent Steve Huff into the staging beams at over 200mph during a Pep Boys Electric Vehicle Service exhibition pass at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.
Innovation, yes! The guy to do it is still at it. It won’t be long before “Big Daddy” has this beast over three hundred.
