More and more companies are pivoting their focus to combat COVID-19. The new batch of companies doing so is Roush Yates, Buffalo Turbine, and Truck Hero. With sales slowing for most companies instead of idly waiting they are being proactive.
Truck Hero is a company that has facilities located in Ann Arbor, Michigan; Howe, Indiana; Nashville, Tennessee; Lawrenceville, Georgia and Yankton, South Dakota, will aid in COVID-19 efforts by producing several PPEs including face masks, face shields, isolation gowns and plastic barriers.
Roush Yates has partnered with BioMedInnovations (BMI) and their partners Equilibar to help develop and mass-produce a special type of ventilator. “In these last few weeks, we have looked for various ways to support our health care systems and country during the COVID-19 outbreak,” said Doug Yates, president and CEO of Roush Yates Engines. “Our talented employees are looking forward to working with BioMedInnovations and Equilibar to produce precision components and aid in the assembly of these high-tech SuppleVentTM ventilators.”
The third company Buffalo Turbine, is known as the official track blower of the NHRA. They have developed and are producing a specific line of sprayers called the District Disinfector Series. “The newly released Buffalo Turbine Sprayers for disinfecting large areas is just a minor adaptation of existing Buffalo Turbine Sprayers,” states Buffalo Turbine owner, Louis Horschel. “Buffalo Turbine has been a world leader in spraying technologies for wide-area vector control for 75 years now. Our expertise in this arena has led to the development of these new models. With our engineering and manufacturing in Springville, New York, we were able to quickly marry our proprietary Rotary Atomizing Nozzle with our line of high-powered blowers. Our designers and engineers were able to put together a self-contained blower to meet the current needs for efficient disinfecting capabilities on a broad scale.”
