Ringbrothers, the acclaimed custom car builder and parts manufacturer has once again captivated the automotive world with its latest masterpiece—a 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda aptly named "INFECTED." Debuting at the 2024 SEMA Show, INFECTED is a celebration of Mopar’s iconic muscle car era, blending vintage aesthetics with modern performance. This one-of-a-kind build embodies Ringbrothers' unparalleled craftsmanship and innovation, with 5,600 hours of meticulous work poured into every detail.

A Fusion of Classic Muscle and Modern Innovation

Inspired by the bold spirit of Mopar’s golden years, INFECTED combines classic design with high-tech enhancements. At its heart is an 807-horsepower Hellcrate Redeye V8 engine, delivering 717 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a Bowler TREMEC TR-6060 six-speed manual transmission. To support its raw power, INFECTED rides on a custom Roadster Shop FAST TRACK chassis outfitted with Fox RS SV coilovers and Baer Brakes Extreme XTR calipers, ensuring it handles as well as it performs.

Every aspect of INFECTED has been reimagined by the Ringbrothers team. The ‘Cuda’s wheelbase has been lengthened, moving the front wheels forward by 1.5 inches, while the fenders, grille, and bumpers were modified to create a sharpened, muscular profile. Ringbrothers achieved this seamless design with extensive fabrication, including billet aluminum bumper guards, a custom driveline tunnel, and extended rocker panels.

A Nod to Mopar Heritage with "Pink Eye" Paint

INFECTED’s visual impact is amplified by a striking custom paint color, dubbed "Pink Eye." This one-off shade, created in collaboration with BASF, pays homage to Mopar's High-Impact color palette of the 1970s, adding a contemporary twist. According to Jim Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers, the vibrant paint serves as a playful nod to the Hellcrate Redeye engine, encapsulating the ‘Cuda’s blend of heritage and high performance.

Precision and Power Beneath the Hood

Ringbrothers has equipped INFECTED with a custom FAST TRACK chassis to optimize the ‘Cuda’s driving dynamics, modified with a torque tube and Wavetrac differential. The car’s aggressive stance is further enhanced by HRE Wheels Muscle Series 105 three-piece wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, delivering the grip needed for its intense power. This robust setup, paired with high-performance Baer Brakes, ensures INFECTED has stopping power to match its speed.

Bespoke Interior for Modern Comfort

The interior of INFECTED is just as meticulously crafted as the exterior. Featuring a custom-tailored white leather cabin by Upholstery Unlimited, it includes modern conveniences such as Vintage Air Gen IV climate control, a fully bespoke sound system with Apple CarPlay, and custom gauges by Dakota Digital. A carbon-fiber "pistol grip" shifter and Ringbrothers Murph steering wheel add a nod to the Mopar legacy, completing the high-end look and feel of this iconic muscle car.

Celebrating Innovation and Partnership

Ringbrothers credits much of INFECTED’s success to collaborations with top industry partners like BASF, HRE Wheels, Dynamat, and Gentex Corporation, all of whom contributed to the car’s distinct character. "This car is a celebration of color, design, and performance," said Mike Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers. "It’s the ultimate showcase of what we can accomplish with advanced techniques and our team’s dedication to pushing boundaries."

For those inspired by INFECTED, Ringbrothers offers a range of products designed for Plymouth ‘Cudas and Chrysler E-bodies, including steering wheels, billet aluminum parts, and universal components.
