This week’s Pinup Pole Show Pinup of the Week is stunt woman Kate Bera. Here, our leggy athlete poses with a gorgeous 1965 Chevy Impala, photographed by Shane Karns at Tonya Kay’s Pinup Pole Show. Let’s learn more about Kate’s athletic disciplines:
TONYA KAY: Where did you grow up and where do you keep residence now?
KATE: I grew up in the Midwest but spent summers touring New England with a company called Circus Smirkus. I am currently in the UK, on the international tour of Marvel Universe Live. We will be touring South Africa, Australia and Asia in the coming months, but Los Angeles is home.
TONYA KAY: You are an athlete of many disciplines. Please tell us about the various arts/sports you are trained in and what you are currently working on right now.
KATE: I grew up in the circus world, training as an aerialist, acrobat and juggler. While living in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, I began working more as a dancer and pole artist. Most recently, my focus has been on stunt work, with my current contract involving a lot of fight choreography, falls, fire, martial arts weapons and wire/harness work.
TONYA KAY: Your career and training require you to keep your physicality top notch. What lifestyle choices or self-care actions help you stay in top health?
KATE: It is very important to me what I put into my body. I have been vegan for the past five years, and love preparing meals that keep my body and mind energized through long training and work days. Making sure I do a proper cool-down and stretch after every training session is a must for me in being able to minimize injury and come back strong day after day.
