Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Paul Lee, President of Wharton Automotive Group and driver of a Nitro Funny Car in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, has just put a bow on his fantastic season—delivering standout performances after standout performances.

Lee powered his Wharton Automotive Group Funny Car into the Countdown to the Championship, marking his best competitive year to date. Beyond the quarter-mile, he leveraged that momentum to elevate Wharton Automotive Group’s footprint across the performance aftermarket, reinforcing the strength of brands like McLeod Racing, FTI Performance, Silver Sport Transmissions, Competition Clutch, and Independence Driveline.

“Winning rounds is exciting, but what really matters is how our performance helps our partners and customers succeed,” said Lee. “Every time our car goes down the track, it’s an opportunity to build stronger relationships and fuel business growth.”

Throughout 2025, Lee’s team has been one of the most consistent and visible on the NHRA circuit, earning national exposure on NHRA on FOX and showcasing impressive qualifying efforts. That visibility extends beyond racing through initiatives like the Dealer of the Race program, which spotlights key dealers at each NHRA national event. The program features in-store promotions and branding on Lee’s Funny Car, connecting NHRA excitement directly with customers while strengthening dealer engagement nationwide.

With record-setting performance, expanding B2B partnerships, and innovative customer programs, 2025 stands as a defining year for Paul Lee and the Wharton Automotive Group—proving that when racing and business align, everyone wins.
