NASCAR has revealed the names of the next legends to join its most exclusive club. The NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will welcome Kurt Busch, Harry Gant, and Ray Hendrick as its newest inductees. Also earning a place in stock car history, Humpy Wheeler will receive the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.
This marks the 16th class since the Hall’s establishment in 2010, and fans can expect a fitting celebration at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, set for January 23, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Voting took place during a closed-door session at the Charlotte Convention Center, with input from a wide range of stakeholders including NASCAR executives, Hall of Fame members, track owners, media, manufacturers, drivers, and fans. The vote was overseen by EY to ensure accuracy and transparency.

The Inductees: Legends Across Eras
Kurt Busch
One of the fiercest competitors of his era, Kurt Busch made an immediate impact in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2000 and went on to capture the 2004 NASCAR Cup Series Championship, becoming the first to do so under NASCAR’s “playoff” format. With 34 Cup wins including a thrilling 2017 Daytona 500 victory, Busch leaves behind a legacy of resilience and versatility across 776 starts.

Harry Gant
Known by fans as “Handsome Harry,” “Mr. September,” and “High Groove Harry,” Harry Gant was a crowd favorite with a smooth style and undeniable grit. Gant earned 18 premier series wins, including two Southern 500s, and added 21 Xfinity Series victories to his resume. From 1981 to 1985, he was a fixture in the points standings, finishing second to Terry Labonte in 1984.

Ray Hendrick
Nicknamed “Mr. Modified,” Ray Hendrick is one of the most prolific short track drivers in NASCAR history, with more than 700 wins across Modified and Late Model Sportsman competition. He dominated tracks throughout Virginia, especially South Boston Speedway where his famed No. 11 became a fixture. A member of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers, Hendrick represents the spirit of grassroots racing.
