Goldstone 1973 AMC Javelin Heads to PRI 2024 RacingJunk Booth

The award-winning drag car will be the centerpiece of the Marketing and Performance site’s display in Indianapolis.

Bryant Goldstone’s twin-turbo big-block Chevy-powered 1973 AMC Javelin has been winning races and accolades since it hit the strip in 2014 at Hot Rod Drag Week. And now, the 6-second drag car is coming to the 2024 Performance Racing Industry show in Indianapolis, Indiana. Showcased in the RacingJunk.com booth (#2143), the superstar vehicle will shine brightly as part of the #1 race and performance marketplace’s iconic display which includes a massive t-shirt giveaway, calendar signings by the RacingJunk models, a chance to win a TurboKits prize, live podcast tapings and more. But the Javelin’s presence is sure to dominate the space, drawing interest and crowds.

The Javelin came out of the 2024 Hot Rod Drag Week sporting the 2024 Fastest Street Car crown as well as emerging as the Ultimate Iron champ ( in fact, that victory represented just the second time in the 20 year history of the event when a car outside of the Unlimited class won that Overall title). While it has been in competition since the mid-2010s, a crash in 2021 meant that the Javelin has undergone some changes that made it the racecar it is today, which includes: a 572-ci Poweradder-Twin 94-millimeter race engine from Norm Beerhorst’s Ultra Tech Racing Engines, a Rossler Pro-Mod Turbo 400 Torque converter, a Schott Race Car & US 12 Speed custom chassis, original carbon fiber panels and more. It’s distinct black and red motif is easily recognizable, both off the strip and on. But what a run it’s had ON!

In addition to the Drag Week victories, the Javelin has triumphed at Sick Week and Sick the Magazine events (a 6.51 second average at the South Georgia Motorsports park event, for instance and a 6.40 at 225 mph record setting run at Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks) as well as other competitions throughout the country.

“It’s a huge treat for our fans, followers, and frankly for us to have Bryant Goldstone’s Javelin in the booth at PRI,” says Scott Stetz, Director of Sales and Business Development for the RacingJunk. “We love a lightening fast vehicle, and it highlights our commitment to grassroots racing across the board.”

The Performance Racing Industry show runs from December 12 – 14, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN.
