Two years ago, RacingJunk made the trek to Beech Bend for LS Fest XI. To say it was a rough time would be an understatement.
August in Louisville, Kentucky means two things. For the last two weeks of the month, the Kentucky Exposition Center comes to life with the sights, sounds and smells of the Kentucky State Fair, the big send-off to summer for the Bluegrass State.
The 2021 NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, KY saw an uptick in participants, as well as a rollicking good time.
Earlier this year, the West Coast edition of Holley LS Fest, held in Las Vegas, fell to the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally held in early May, organizers pushed it back to mid-June before postponing it until 2021. And while the original Holley LS Fest would go on as planned in early September, we weren’t sure if we were going to make it.
Every year in early August, Louisville, Kentucky wakes up to the sound of thundering horses. Not the kind at Churchill Downs, but at the nearby Kentucky Exposition Center, where thousands of guests, cars, and an insane amount of horsepower all roll in for the National Street Rod Association Street Rod Nationals.
The announcement follows a call by NASCAR Cup star Bubba Wallace.
