Built by Jeff Leach, Mid-America Industries, Milan IL. in 1990.
Car has been raced with SVRA since built (Group 5, Group 10, and Group 6).
Group Champion in Groups 5 and 10. Also Eduro Champion.
SVRA Driver of the Year 2016.
Round tube replica frame, reinforced in all the right places. Weighs 2525#s.
Roll cage below door level (some of the cage hidden under body panels) runs all the way up to the radiator area.
1985 C4 Corvette suspension, Aldan aluminum shocks, single adjustable. Poly bushings or heim joints wherever appropriate.
Custom made American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, 8.5X15, 10X15, 2 sets. Comes with 1 extra set.
Engine: 400 cu in all aluminum SBC. Dart full CNC aluminum heads. Callies crank, Oliver 6" rods, JE pistons, 13.5 comp ratio. 5 stage dry sump with one stage making vacuum.
Last dyno at 640 HP at 7,000 RPM.
Drive train: Quartermaster triple disk 5.5" clutch, aluminum bell housing, mechanical clutch. G-Force 4 speed transmission with road racing ratios, shifter is heim jointed. Aluminum drive shaft, Dana 44 rear end w/ 3.70 gears with aluminum batwing (diff. mount). Coolers on trans and differential, mounted in trunk. Differential snubber reinforced so it doesn't get ripped out (again!).
Custom FuelSafe fuel cell mounted over the differential which is where a Grand Sport cell is supposed to be.
Body: Light weight Grand Sport "Daytona" hood with aluminum slats. Light weight fiberglass front clip. Working headlights with Lexan covers. Even has a dimmer switch on the floor.
Trailer: 20' enclosed Kristi trailer; custom built in tire rack; winch; 3500# axles, electric brakes
Comes with one set of spare custom made American Racing Mags and 1 spare rear end.
Owner is retiring from racing, come with your truck and hitch it to the trailer and tow the package home. This is a long standing and well-known SVRA and HSR race car.
