Grant King Sprint Car for Sale
My name is Tom Hanna and with Marvin Price we own a Grant King Car we would like to sell. The car was built for Tom Sneva to drive in 1974. Grant built it using two damaged Indy cars built by the Gene White Racing Shop. Using parts of these cars he built a Sprint car with four-wheel independent suspension, a two-speed transaxle, a clutch, a starter and Hillebrand Cast Magnesium wheels marked Lotus. (Note: we have 10 of these wheels valued at over $1,000 each that go with the car). We got the car from Bill Sidelman who had bought it directly from Grant. When we got it had been taken apart for restoration. We had Bill Sideleman restore the car for vintage racing. The car has been driven by Sheldon Kinser, Galen Fox, Jerry Weeks, Billy Shuman, Parnelli Jones, Glen Walker, Glen Sidelman and others. We have raced and shown the car for several years with West Coast Vintage Racers. However, due to our age (83) and medical conditions it is time to sell it. We invested more than $70,000 and are asking for $39,995, including a Vintage Shelby Trailer, racing tires, spare parts, and tools. We are also open to considering all reasonable offers.
