Fresh 428 Cobra Jet Super Stock race engine built with premium components throughout. This engine features a freshly machined 8H7 428 block with a 4.170” bore, new JE pistons, Moldex billet crankshaft, Crower billet connecting rods, and expertly ported Jim Morgan Cobra Jet heads. The valvetrain includes a custom Comp Cams solid roller camshaft and lifters, along with brand-new T&D race rocker assemblies. It is topped with a custom single-plane intake and a Cobra Jet carburetor professionally prepared and tuned by DaVinci Carburetors specifically for this engine. Additional highlights include neutral balancing, an ATI Super Damper, and all new bearings and rings.
Built using only top-of-the-line components with no expense spared, this engine served as a backup for a competitive NHRA team. It has not been run since being freshened and has been properly stored with the rocker arms backed off to preserve the valvetrain.
Previously campaigned in an NHRA Super Stock Mustang before moving to GT/C competition, where the car consistently ran 10.0-second passes at 3,250 lbs. This is a serious, race-proven engine that’s ready for its next home.
