This is just the start.

Some other interesting theories coming out are:
1. The retrocative penalty - they will go back several months and count those employees with full time hours.
2. The sum penalty - so many part time employees will count as a full time employee.

We're in a heap o' trouble boys....

Well, lessee if the House of Republicans will do this correctly and constitutionally by sending "Departmental Funding" much like "Line Item" Budgeting that has been purposed by many congresses and Presidents.

The original method of financing the Government was to send funding bills for each Cabinet Department through the law making process, based upon a "Budget' proposed by the President each year. For probably the last 30 years or so, it has been an "Omnibus" Budget with the whole kitchen sink thrown in and it was up to the nerds to pore through it to find excess or waste. In the last six years, the President has not put forth a budget, nor has the Senate (or House) approved one.

Instead, they have opted for the "Continuing Resolution" which just kicks the can down the road, and writes checks for all the bills that come in. No one actually oversees this process and the House, who is the holder of the checkbook, just asks the CBO to keep track of the numbers, but not the responsibility. And no one assumes the responsibility, but are ready, at the click of the microphone switch, to blame someone else. Add to that "partisanship" and the American Taxpayer gets it in the @ss every day!

In another thread, there is posted the names of the 24 Republican Senators who voted for Cloture in the Senate last night, or in other words, voting with the Democrats for Obamacare. While I didn't totally agree with the House movement, because I favor winning big in the '14 mid term elections and this will probably hinder that to a degree, once it became the goal, then it should have been a full majority of Republicans voting against funding Obamacare. But, those 24 Republicans are all old school, long time in power US Senators. They all need to be primaried out and replaced. If not for their votes last night, then just because they've been there too long and no longer represent their constituents in any manner.

O'Bozo refuses to "Negotiate" but that is exactly why the Government is structured as it is. The Executive Office must "Negotiate" with both houses of Congress as must those houses "negotiate" with each other. It was done this way to prevent ONE Entity from acquiring singular power, which is what O'Bozo has been attemp[ting to do by bypassing Congress so many times in the last 6 years by "Executive Order" and not having to present a Budget to Congress . . . O'Bozo's statement that he "doesn't have to Negotiate" is a gross assumption that Congress will continue to allow him the priviledge of being the "King" . .

He's not!

Harry Reid and O'Bozo have declaired that we are in a "Republican Forced Government Shut down". As RoadKill said, the executive office has done nothing to resolve this, therefore the uninformed believe that this is an attact on their beloved (but only 1/2) black president. So guess who the biased media is going to do? Yep - you're right!!

Here's part of a discussion on a different forum . . The first is from another writer;

I just think it's interesting how the Dems are basically up O's butt - holding this nation hostage because they want what they want and they refuse to negotiate.

Whole thing is nothing short of a hostage situation - AND - as with typical hostage taker mentality - it's the fault of the people the hostage taker is making demands of.

I hope the House doesn't give in on this one - the longer the shutdown, the worse it looks for little "o" and his ilk.

One parenting rule - don't EVER give in to a temper tantrum - because if you do, they continue doing it, and each one gets worse.

Let the sonofabitch hold his breath and turn every shade of blue and purple there is - just don't give in. Just as parents don't negotiate with a demanding toddler, the people should not be giving in to the toddler in chief. Just sayin'....
And then my reply . . .

While everything you say is correct, in the public's perception, you're exactly 180° wrong . . . The Democrats have had the MSM on their side for over 50 years. When Richard Nixon got his tit in the wringer over Watergate and his attempted influencing an election, the press had him a heartbeat away from Impeachment. That's why he resigned. He didn't want the laundry to be hung out.

But compared to O'Bozo? Nixon was nothing more than a bumbling third rate crook.

If Obama was a Republican, he would have never made it to his Re-election. He'd be in Jail, as would Valery Jarret, Rahm Emanuel, 90% of his first cabinet and most of his staff . . Not to mention a good share of the D.C. DoJ . . And Ben Bernacke!

But he's not, He's a Democrat, and no matter how corrupt he and his are and will be, unless he axe murders both his kids on the White House Steps, with cameras running, he's gonna slide . .

He might even then, if he has Bill Clinton for his Lawyer!

PERCEPTION IS EVERYTHING!
