Default CAP and TRADE SAY BYE BYE TO OUR SPORT/ hobby !!!!!

Just trying to stir things up and try to make everyone on Racing Junk and the racing community aware of what our beloved government is trying to do. How many of you guys with Race cars, drag cars, stock cars, tractor pull, street rods and Muscle cars are really aware of what the Cap and trade and the Global warming bunch will do to us/you? I think it will end up as a huge tax on all of us with either a tax on our high octane gas, parts or an extra tax on entrance to our events either on the spectators or racers or both!!! We all need to speak up and express our displeasure with their stance on this! Let me know what you think! Everyone express your opinion!!!!! It's very important we don't stay silent on this !

well it's has already started with the cash for clunkers, and the
next stage is the state inspection of your vehicle, if your car
does not pass emissions or gets less than 35 mpg, your car will
be reclaimed by the gov. and you will be given a voucher for
$2,500. to $4,500 for a new car or one that passes emissions.
gov. will want to eliminate all old and big engine cars off the road
and this has started already.

Another bad thing most people do not realize is, that all the cash for clunker folks that used the program. They are going to have to pay taxes on the 4500.00 they recieved as it is considered earned income. Tell uncle sam thanks when you send them thier check.

Fortunately I live in a state that does not require inspections at this time, but that could change any second. As far as the 35 mpg, that would be virtually impossible, mainly because only a handful of cars made today actually get that kind of mileage. Probably only 1/2 of 1% or less of the population drives a car that gets that kind of mileage right now. I am just talking out of my azz on the percentage ratio, but I bet I am close.

It is amazing to me when you look at our motor sports & how much it really contributes to Global warming (which I think is a joke & a buisness anyways) or Green House emissions, etc...

Example: I believe active racing motocross bikes have to be a 4-stroke in California. Because why??? Were the 2 stroke bikes on Saturdays causing that much of a problem???

I think a cow in Kansas could produce more green house gas by FARTING in week that that!!! Come on.

Here in Oregon, we have a few hippies (like myself, NOT) that love VW vans/cars... the old ones. They have no emission checks here in my town. These hippies love to complain about the Ozone layer, Global Warming, Trees, etc... while driving their old VW's!!! You can see the Black smoke pouring from the rusty tailpipes & have ZERO emissions!!! Yet, some kid riding a YZ80 on a motocross track is a threat??? What is the strategy??? tax tracks, shut down drag strips, put catalytic-converters on Nascar & save .00012% of the emissions globally??? WTH!!!

This administration is CRAZY. Their bills are CRAZY. Man I pray we can keep our drag strips open, tracks, etc... & they leave us alone!!! Too much BS!!
