top of air bleed black why.

Default top of air bleed black why.

on my new 950 HP the back inside air bleed is black all the others look like new. the carb is working great now after all the advice yall have gave me to get it right has worked, I'm just currious as to what caused that, and this stuff won't clean off.

It's probably just tarnish.

I have some jets that look the same way, if it's not effecting your performance I wouldn't worry about it.

You might try some metal polish for aluminum wheels or something.

I thank you for the reply, I just wanted to see if there was something wrong that made it do that. I'm still in the learning stage and all info about any little detail helps.

Like I said I have some main jets that look the same, never hindered my performance so I never thought anything else about it.
I've seen air bleeds look the same way.


I guess it's the result of a chemical reaction or something.
They must have come into contact with something they didnt like, you know how funny brass is....lol
