Ref: SBC headers on '55 chevy
Hey guys,
I built a 400 sbc with brodix IK180 heads for a healthy pump gas combination for a buddy of mine. The engine is in a 1955 Chevy Belair with stock manual steering, stock engine/tranny mounts, and a 4 speed muncie.
He has checked virtually all of the major header manufacturers and only Hooker has a part listed for this application. When those were sent, they were hitting both the steering gear and the oil pan.
As many 55-57's with small blocks as there are out there, there has to be an answer to this besides fenderwells, or custom made systems.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Joe
