Default need 2 grind my rockers down to make my valve covers fit

I bought a set of powder coated big block valve covers they look like the ones that come with the chevy 572 crate motors but they say chevrolet on them but when I went to install them they hit one of the roller rockers where the indention is in the valve cover for the socket to bolt the cover down so I called the guy that I got them from and he said that is a problem with the big crane gold roller rockers and to just grind the corner of the rocker down a little so it fits and it will be ok . so I just want to make sure that it will be alright .
thanks LES

xp. I don't have a part # for you but I used a very thick gasket from felpro. Is like over a 1/4in thick. Cleared stud girdle and all. Really saved my a$$. Good Luck. Dan.

there are thicker gasket, but if you are not able to find any, you can always double the gasket, just glue them together.

Alo B&B/Stef's sells a valve cover spacer which can move it up too. Nothig wrong with stacking same valve cover gaskets and rtv them together.

Just grind the rockers. Its usualy 2 per side. Its no big deal, and will not hurt the rocker. Some of the cranes now that I have seen lately, have that built in now.
