Default What would you give ?

I've been looking around here and there for a 454 block, 2 bolt or 4 bolt virgin to 60 over. I've found some good deals and they are gone when I get there the other ones I find seem to be more $ then I think they are worth, what do you guys think a 454 block is worth now days ?

I been looking to spend 250-300 for a 2bolt and 350-400 for 4 bolt, a year ago I found several this year nothing when I want it. am I being to cheap or are they just wanting to much ?

Around here in MN a complete Gen IV 2 bolt engine goes from 500-600 depending if it has 049 or 781 heads on it, and a 4 bolt block is around 700 plus. Good luck.

I finally came up a little on what I wanted to give and think I got a good deal from a local machine shop I use. 454 4 bolt block, bored 60 over just need finish honed. Has new cam bearing, freeze plugs and arp main cap bolts. Picked it up for $550.00 and saves me all the machine work
