The commentator said it is against the rules to fix a race when team-mates are involved.
The NHRA official said they were running an enquiry and checking Forces data logger and set up. If anything was obviously rigged, eg stupid clutch settings, he'd be busted. That's why he went for the wall rather than go up in smoke off the line.

Force is a has been and needs to retire. His interviews are a frickin joke... the mans had too many bangs on the head.

A similar "fight of words" broke out at the Nats where I am. The drivers involved were fined and one was banned from driving for six months. I think Force needs to be brought down a peg or two...ban the man!!!!

Guys, Sometime I am a poor communicator,

To put into a better perspective, It is very hard to prove someone took a hit for the team, I am sure that if it could be proven, somewhere in the rule book theres some corrective action that could be placed on the team deemed to have enacted on such an event.

I guess my question is "To what extent and which action has the most severe outcome if taken"? Maybe to lose a race and pay the fine is less painful than the loss of a championship?

Not defending either party, but "WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU FOUND YOURSELF IN A SIMILAR SITUATION"? Would you take the dive or give her hell even if it knocks your team mate out of the race?

Define "Stupid clutch setting"

I know what you are saying but I bet it would be very difficult to use anything from the tune up as "evidince" It could always be argued they were trying this or that.....unless it is NOT a situation of proof but rather Judgement...meaning "what we say goes this isn't a debate" if that makes sense.

Its real easy to simply set the clutches to lock up way too soon and you'll be up in tire smoke. He did that racing Ashley Force when she won her first event.

Forces reaction time was a joke. Hight was obviously in on it because his reaction time was lousy too, (he didn't want to risk red lighting and knew Force would be even slower).

Its getting as bad as the wrestling on tv. Everyone knows whose going to win.

I think NHRA should limit the number of funny cars or Top fuel cars you have in your team. Maybe that would cut down on all the B.S.
But that might kill NHRA and they might not get a 16 car field in those classes. I don't like what Force did but he did what he had to do. It's NHRA's fault it got to this. We just got back from racing at the U.S Nationals at Indy. I think the place sucks and hope I never go back.
I use to run Super Chevy there for years and it was great. They treat the sportsman racers like crap. We waited 10 hours to get in and 3 1/2 to have them tech the car. Some people waited almost 24hrs to get in.
Pro's get in as soon as they pull up.
Who pays the majority of the bills and buy from the sponsors?
Sportsman racers and they treat them like crap.

I think the aftermath was "VINTAGE" John Force and the reason you love him , if your one of the people who love's Him.

If you listen to what John was up-set about...Its wasn't the fact he was accused of Cheating it was the Act of talking behind his back with several....looooong before this incident.
John said it on National Tv:
...."Ford and Car Club pay me to have these cars in the Top finishers and thats what i do "
as Far as actually Throwing hands. (Fist)..One was scared to throw a punch and the other was Glad he was...

Trust me if a man wants another that Bad. he will get him...ain't No two fingers gonna hold him back..

Cracks me up everytime i see a grown man Jumping Up and down like he's chomping at the Bit while someone like his wife has her index finger on his chest like its holding him back....LMAO !!!

I would have Just went for the perfect light..never fails.each time i do this i get a Red.. i imagine it would have worked for John too with the average light he holds...

It's a sad day in the racing world when a racer has to worry about his 'performance' rather than PERFORMANCE. I'm focused on WINNING every time I strap on a racecar........

One thing about Force, he started with nothing! John and his brother built a large multi-million dollar race team and that isn't easy to do! So, John is a completely self-made man, no one gave it to him.

To keep the professional end of our sport running and competing, we need as many professional teams as possible. What would it be like with less-than 10 professional teams at a major event? Not too exciting!
