Gsforless you did the right thing by junking the car,I had the same thing done to me on a truck in my own state,I called the guy numerous times and told him I was going to junk the title,as I soon did,I had seen the truck and it had different state plates on it,so I guess he got a title in another state,Pretty much what a tard,he could have just transferred it and not had any problems.If a bill of sale is okay to have as proof,Then somebody let me use there car to rob a bank and see who's house they come to,NOT MINE!

easy man, i didnt read where anyone said anything about illegal.and i didnt read where anyone was blaming you for anything.i was (still am) thiking you were right doing what you did. he said he would handle it and he didnt, so you did.i KNOW what a bill of sale is. ive been doing this for a long time. and yea there is a difference from state to state. ive lived in 4 states since 75.and alabama is the most lax. you dont even have a title foe a car from 74 back.almost every car or bike we have bought or sold here that had a title also got a 2 signature bill of sale.all i did was relay what the lady told me when i called and asked.you kinda want to shoot the messenger. while i was typing this my wife came in and read it, she said the last bike title she took up to dmv they also asked if she had a bill of sale also.anyway hope it works out for you. saw the pics. like to see him backtrack on this one.

Below is a copy directly from my RJ inbox,word for word,of the dialogue between speedy121 and I,since the deal.The first entry is at the bottom,so you have to start there and read up.
I know I have nothing to prove with you guys,but it's here to be seen that I gave the man every opportunity to get this deal done.
It's also in the reading where he offered to replace the shocks with a pair of Afcos to "make things right".
His general attitude and lack of concern is pretty evident in the conversation.
The last communication I've had with him(other than here,in the forum),is the top entry where he asks for the pic of the shocks,which I promptly sent.He hasn't replied since(other than here).I have sent him a couple messages since sending him the pic he requested,one with my phone number,telling him to call me,but have gotten no reply.

I should also add something that should have been said long ago,before this thread got so long,and lively can confirm that I said this in a pm to him a few days ago.
On this shock deal,I THOUGHT something was up with the shocks when I saw them,but then I second guessed myself as to whether the car was in fact supposed to have the QA1s or not.The thought that someone would pull something like this just blowed my mind and I wanted to get a chance to pull the pictures he had sent me up on my computer before saying anything about them.
This post to the thread probably has little importance,but I just wanted to add in the email conversation between the two of us,as I have nothing to hide here,and he won't even respond to questions asked by you guys.
I really appreciate all the support.

Well Glen, It's been awhile since I looked at this... but I am going to say the same thing: you are a nice guy that got screwed in the end. Speedy lies & cheats. If he wasn't a liar, you would have not been so pasionate abvout this thread!!! BTW, speedy did not chime in till way later when he started to try to justify himself... he lied, got away with it & now is talking about a lawyer??? You get what you deserve "Speedy" ... you & the new lawyer are not so different anyways!!! I hope he takes your money & does nothing like they all do... after all, it's really what you deserve anyways. I'm in your cornor Glen, but i doubt if you will ever get closure on this trade. I too think speedy just wasn't thinking that he could keep the title in your name forever until he sold it. One thing troubles me is that you said it was a driver, he came back and said the car was sitting in his garage because the rearend was out of it. I do realize that you had an agreement to change the title imediately to his name. In his defence some states will not change a title without inspecting the vehicle, IE Az,Il. and i'm sure some other states, i donot know about Oh. I do realize that you got screwed on the shocks, which he admitted, i also realize that to agreement was made to change the title immediately. I know you're doing sleepless nites, but i think if i were in your shoes i would just let it ride, i'm certain that the good people/buyer/traders will not be doing business with this person in the future due to this post.
