At what point does a business outgrow "smart" automated campaigns?

We’ve been running basic Performance Max and automated search campaigns for a while, but it feels like we’ve hit a ceiling. The cost per acquisition is creeping up, and we have zero control over where our budget is actually going. I’ve been looking at the Google Ads management services at Aimers. Does anyone have experience with them taking over an account that was purely automated? Can they actually "fix" account health, or are we stuck with the algorithm?

We were in a very similar situation. Our account relied heavily on Performance Max and automated search campaigns, and after a while CPA kept increasing with little insight into what was driving results. Bringing in experienced specialists helped because they audited the account, restructured campaigns, improved conversion tracking, and tested where automation made sense versus where more manual control delivered better performance. The algorithm is useful, but it still needs the right strategy and clean data. If you're considering Aimers, their saas google ads service is worth reviewing. A healthy account can definitely be improved with the right approach.
