The Jeep brand, which is part of the larger Chrysler Group, has been making cars and vehicles since 1941. The current line of Jeep vehicles includes the Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Renegade, Jeep Compass, Jeep Gladiator, and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Each of these vehicles has its own unique features and capabilities, and are popular choices among off-roaders and those looking for an all-purpose vehicle. All Jeep models feature four-wheel drive, and many boast an on-road capability as well. The newest Jeep model, the Jeep Gladiator, is the only pickup truck in the lineup and offers even more off-road capabilities. Since 1991, Jeep has also offered a number of special edition models, including the iconic Jeep Rubicon, which offers special off-road capabilities and accessories.
Classic Jeeps are the very definition of a 4x4. The unmatched off-road prowess of Jeep has created legions of fans, complete with a wave and even rubber ducks (it’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand). The original CJ Jeeps took the military concept and redefined it for a civilian role. Now, the late model JL and JL Wrangler models embrace the past while modernizing the Jeep tradition for the current day, without losing any of the charm or capability.
