This is a 1998 Corvette TA1 racecar. It is not street legal, and never will be. It was built to compete in the Trans Am series that is still active today. There is too much to describe so I’ll try to hit the highlights.
If you want to be the fastest car on track without even trying, this car will do it. It has a NASCAR based engine that has been bored out to ~410ci and reportedly 850hp. The transmission is a 5 speed dog box, h-pattern. There is no traction control and no ABS. It is truly and old-school drivers car.
Nothing about this car is actually a corvette, besides the name on the front and tail lights. It is a full tube frame based car with fiberglass body panels. It is fresh from a frame off restoration, with only run-in time on it. Life has gotten busy so it’s taking up garage space.
It comes with a ton of spare parts with enough consumables to get you through events. Also included are a set of the famed bbs honeycomb style wheels
