Push truck details
Chassis, axles, suspension is a 1978 Chevy K5 Blazer. So brake pads, shoes, calipers, bearings, ball joints, steering box, steering linkage, etc all will be for the Blazer.
Engine is a 604 crate, but, has a Bullet solid roller cam, roller lifters, roller rockers, standard bore, 604 pistons, rods and crank. Heads are the original 604 GM steel heads with bigger valves, and have been port matched. Valves are 2.05/1.60. Compression is 11.2 to 1. Carb is a proform 650 4 barrel, no choke. MSD distributor, coil, and 6AL ignition box. The pulley system is CVF. Holds 7 quarts of oil and there’s no dipstick. 20w50 oil. I used Valvoline VR1. I used Wix oil filters.
Transmission is a TCI built th350. It has increased like pressure, billet input shaft, red clutches, and a rebuilt high flow pump. It is was new in March and has 5 nights on it. It has the dex/merc fluid in it that I left in the toolbox
Torque converter is a Hughes 2800 stall
Transfer case is a NP203 (factory for the blazer as well)
The suspension leaf springs are new in march. They are Rough Country 2” lift springs. (All four springs) Shocks are rough country and new at the same time. The spring hangers are new on the frame. (Cut old ones off and welded new ones on)
Wheels are late model wheels. Wheel adapters came from eBay. They adapt the 6x5.5 bolt pattern to the wide five pattern of the late model wheel. (I always wanted to put a set of beadlock wheels on and powdercoat the beadlock rings blue)
Tires are implement (tractor) tires.
The body is made by Five Star. It’s their “Pro-4” stuff.
The powdercoat color is Illusion Blueberry for all the blue stuff.
The brake booster is Wilwood. Brake pedal is Wilwood. Gas pedal I made. (EFF U)
Air filter is NOT TO BE OILED! Blow it out with an air nozzle after each night of pushing. Wash with the carb cover on.
Has a Camera.
Gas, remember I always used Aviation fuel or “Av gas”. Any airport has it. Make sure if you use pump gas, it’s 93 octane. It won’t run on cheap stuff very well.
New in march: brake pads, shoes, calipers, lines, master cylinder, front wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends, and the other stuff mentioned above.
This is a Conversation Truck, Extremely Clean like New, a unique one of a kind truck 😀
