1988 Chrysler LeBaron 2 dr Coupe, purchased brand new in 1988 as a "Body in White" directly from Chrysler's St Louis plant. As delivered it was a bare body with doors, hood, trunk, front and rear bumpers & front facia with head light doors. No glass, interior or outside trim. Plan was to build a NHRA Superstock front wheel drive conversion. Purchased a wrecked/totaled car for complete interior, most of the glass and some outside trim. This car still had the window sticker in it with 00432 actual miles on it. Project was never completed.
Car has Art Morrison rear subframe with 12 point chrome-moly roll cage(was NHRA tagged), motor plate and midplate for small block Mopar, 4 link rearsuspension with econ-coil overs, and diagonal link. New Centerline "ProStock" wheels, 15 x 3 fronts and 15 x 14 rears. Set up for 14 x 32 tires. Tires are only rollers. Front suspension needs to be fabricated yet, as NHRA now allows tubular lower A-arms. Has Strange struts with brakes. Front suspension is 'loosely' assembled to make it a roller. No steering, but have original Pinto rack, mounts, tie-rod ends and column parts. Has 9" ford rear, braced with Mark Williams 35 spline axles and Wilwood disc brakes. No center section or gears. Have good door glass, rear side windows, back window and New windshield. Have boxes of parts to go with. Still has bare steel, no paint.
