1993 BMW E36 325i with 2.8L M52B28. This was previously a Turner Motorsports racecar many years ago. It was used in WRL and Champcar for years after that. I've owned it for about 6 years and do not have the time to race it anymore.
Chassis:
Full compliant cage to Champcar, WRL, & AER rules
Has welded rear subframe reinforcement plates
Upgraded front and rear sway bars.
Adjustable lower suspension links
Adjustable Koni shocks
Adjustable brake bias
PFC brake pads
22 gallon fuel cell with 3 gallon bladder to reduce capacity to meet Champcar fuel tank rules
Stainless steel lines and AN fittings used throughout for both fuel and oil lines
Mylaps AMB transponder (the old non subscription kind)
Interior:
AIM MXL2 dash with live ECT, oil temp, oil pressure, and battery voltage
Momo removable steering wheel
Prewired for radio installation (no radio provided)
Sparco race seat
Out of date window net (2024) in good shape
Out of date Schroth 6 point harness
F.A.S.T cool suit system
Optima battery
Out of date Fire Sense bottle (2024)
Powertrain:
2.8L M52B28 Engine (1993 BMWs had the M50B25s)
Currently has the "stock" M52 manifold for Champcar Rules (I have an M50 manifold I will provide with the vehicle)
Oil pan has aftermarket internal windage tray
WAR chip in ECU
Lightweight flywheel
Clutch has one race on it
Transmission shifts all gears with no grinding/issues
Engine only has one race on it after a rebuild (new bottom end bearings, new headgasket, new head, rebuilt vanos) - when I bought the car it had low compression on a couple cylinders so I refreshed the bottom and top end)
No oil leaks since I replaced all the gaskets and o-rings
Silicone radiator hoses
Spares:
4 K1 Kosei wheels and tires (8 total including the 4 on the vehicle)
Headers (in the photos) factory headers used for Champcar rules
M50 manifold
Under engine/transmission chassis brace (not used for Champcar rules)
Strut tower brace (not used for Champcar rules)
Multiple sets of brake pads and a set of rotors (used)
Lower control arms
half-shafts
Fuel Cell gasket
Wheel spacers
Miscellaneous belts/hoses/wiring/exhaust hangers
The harlequin colors are happenstance. It had the full original blue and yellow paint being a Turner Motorsports car but we've replaced body panels as needed from racing contact damage. Chassis has not been in a wreck more than body panel contact. The car was a blast to drive, felt solid and well set up. We ran this vehicle in Champcar, hence some of the mix-match of go fast parts. Engine pulls strong and could be stronger if the M50 manifold and headers were installed. All the spare parts come with the vehicle; I just don't have time to prep it anymore for racing.
