I bought this as part of a turn key package and have since gotten out of racing. The motor was freshened and test fired for a race then the owner past away and it sat for a long time. I would replace the valve springs as they were not backed off. I removed and sold the outdated, Idler assy, valvetrain, Mallory Magneto, And nostalgia valve covers to update it to modern standards so we could run it in Top dragster and be able to service it if we broke something.
I can help the buyer complete it and can get you a nice discount on a new complete Stanke/Stage V Rocker setup for $3,500 and fabricated valve covers w/ spark plug restraints and tubes for around $1,000 to complete the motor less ignition and idler assy if you wish. This motor would make for an Excellent Top dragster, Top Sportsman, Outlaw, Tractor pull, Or boat racing setup.
Blown alcohol Keith Black 438 cid billet headed blown alcohol motor, Manifold to pan w/ fuel pump and mag drive less rockers, valve covers, and Ignition. Includes Fuel pump and Mag drive, Several 11mm Pulleys, And a lot of 1-2 run belts, And upright Zoomies. Has had typical windows repaired and may have some saddles, All repairs were performed by KB and are common on these motors.
