I got some good news that my son may be coming home sooner than planned. Not sure exactly when yet but it was going to be next April.

Curtis,
It looks to me as if our American forces have taught the Afghan National Army commandos how to take care of business, that is bad news for the Taliban!! I can only imagine their faces when the helicopter gunships rained hell upon them!! Priceless!

This is the last known picture taken of Jay, I have been told it was within hours of Jay being killed. I am not trying to bring sadness or pity to myself or family, I occasionally need to write or talk about him to keep from going over the edge. Thanks men!

Hey Rudy,
Anytime you need to talk, vent, BRAG about him or whatever, I'll be her on the forum or you can PM me. Keep fighting to good fight brother. Also know that there are others here that will never forget your and Jay's sacrifice.

Curtis,
Thanks for being a friend. It gets very difficult at times to get through the day without breaking down, especially when the weather is bad. I have no clue as to why they are related, but you can believe the weather and sadness work together. I will be fine as soon as my pit crew and crew chief (wife) return home safely at the end of the day.
This picture was about 1 year before he joined the USMC, he is saddling Bucky up for a ride. We sure miss you Jay!
