Thanks Guys for the input ,emails to John and the links to car the sites.

Scrop, the picks of Johns house are from Google Earth.I posted them on there to let John know that if Im able to persue this, legally, he's not hard to find, even if he moves to Florida as mentioned in his Harley AD. Just from reading some of your posts and replies,I believe you do some similar things. Gathering public info and posting it.

My Gripe as you call it.

In Johns answer to mopar and harbone, John said the reason he didnt complete the trade is because my car was misrepresented. In Johns email to me he said his car had problems and he didnt want to send it to me that way.So which is it? And why lie about it? And what really pissed me off was John trying to justify what he did by ragging on my car. John has as many pics of my car as I do.Hell in all my ads theres probably over 30 pics from all angles. If you read the emails we posted back and forth, I had nothing to hide, and was straight forward all the way. I even spent half a day trying to get answers from previous owners, so I could try and answer his questions.
Our agreement as posted earlier was even trade(Cars as discribed) He was to pay to have the Tbird delivered to him, which he did. Driver collected $350.00 for that. I was to pay to have the TBucket delivered to me. When Johns son stated the motor in the TBucket had water in the oil, my car was not even unloaded. Because Johns car was not as discribed. The driver called to ask if I still wanted him to look at the T bucket,I told him there was'nt any use in looking, just bring my car back.

As far as the links that you provided (BTW Thanks) I dont think Johns car has a snow balls chance in hell of winning any of those contest. And if I did have a car that won any of those contest I would provide documentation/Trophies or at least links or pics as proof. It would dam sure help sell the car. However I did read in Johns profile that his favorite drag strip was Summit Dragway. Maybe he won a trophy there. But thats a far cry from Summit Mag's Most Beautiful Roadster.

Then in Johns message to Mopar he stated the car WAS NOT advertised locally. Check the link below

http://www.hoobly.com/0/0/1092559.html

Looks like a local ad to me?

Anyway I am not pissed because we didnt trade. Im pissed that I was screwed out of a $350 shipping fee to get my car back. Anyway you look at its because John lied. I may be wrong wrong but I believe he owes me that.

All this would have been avoided if there had been some kind of plan in place in case one or the other didn't like the trade...seems to me that you both are out the same money as far as shipping goes , mayby it's just me , but I sure as hell would not ship my car off to someone I didn't know and swap it for a car I had never seen,,,just doesn't sound like a very good idea to me...but thats just me......

New news. After talking to the driver again, he states he did,nt think John was even there. He thinks the guy there was Johns son. Because he made the statement that his brother must have blown the car up. And the drivers helper was told that John was out of town. So WTF? Is this another lie? Does John own the T or does his son? Or was that really John that the driver spoke to? Or better yet is it John or Johns son who I have been dealing with all the long? And is it Johns son who answered Harbone and Mopars emails? I know in one of his emails he said his Dad liked the 31 Roadster I have and wanted to know how much I wanted for it.
Doesnt really change anything I guess. But again why the lies?

Maniac, I've done a few blind trades, and on (2) I sent my car first. It worked out fine both times because I'm honest and so were the other parties. And I damn sure wouldnt missrepresent my car, then send it first. If this guy was honest it would of worked out fine this time. I sell cars all the time on Ebay and have a 100% score. Around 60 sells/trades total in the last year and a half. Most of them shipped. All satisfied. I guess you could call it luck, but i would like to think it was because of honesty on both parties.
Your right we're both out of the same amount of money. But if this guy was honest, he would have my Bird I would have the Bucket, for the $350.00. But because of his lies Im out of $350.00 for nothing. Im sorry, but that pisses me off.

Hey guys look at the bold in this statement. IMO i think that he was hoping to get a better car than what he was trying to trade with and it fell thru. Like I siad this is IMO.

Dirka Your right when you say I want to come out on a trade. Dont we all. However when you decided to put the one sentence in bold and isolate it, you changed the whole meaning and point of the paragraph. My point once more is that I was out of $350.00 for nothing because of lies.
Your certianly entitled to your own opinion. But you dont know me or my car and you want to acuse me of trying to rip somebody off. My opinion is that your reply is an insult . After reading things posted in this forum for the last year, I thought maybe I would get a little advice as to what to do. But I guess I was wrong.
BTW If all I had to worry about in this world is your opinion, then I aint got JACK S**t to worry about pal.

Lively You may think STUPID DUMB or what ever. But as I stated I sell on ebay. Almost all of it is blind deals. Going off pics, discriptions, and phone calls. I ship cars all over the US. I also buy. Never had a problem
If you think it BS, do an advance search for sellers on Ebay for (darrellwv)
I have only done about 60 deals but you'll see that my score is 100%. But you know the ironic thing is in a years time of posting on RJ I have manage to trade once, and then theres this deal.

But you are right about one thing. This one is filed under the cost of doing business on line. But I wont stop doing business this way,I just wont do it on here.
