Retired in 2018 from NSS (Nostalgia Super Stock)
Owned, build and raced by the late legendary drag racer Ronnie Rector
MANY videos of the car making passes in the Midwest (mostly Gateway in St. Louis).
Consistant 11.50 car @115mph
REAR END/SUSPENSION:
Reinforced 1965 8.75 rear end
456 spool with Moser axles and 29.5-15 M/T slicks
3 way adjustable shocks
Super Stock springs (moved in) NOT TUBBED
Slant 6 torsion bars
Motor plate, electric fans and water pump
Aluminum Champion radiator
Front disc brakes with line lock. New pads, rear shoes and hardware (stops great)
BODY:
Car is NOT CUT UP! No hack job work EVER.
All steel minus hood scoop.
These is some old body rust on lower front fenders and old flaking paint (patina) but looks perfect the way it is.
All glass is real and original.
Doors have some sag but close tight.
INTERIOR:
Stock dash, stock wiring, stock steering column, original seats and door panels.
Carpet is new OEM. Original brake and gas pedals.
Original ammeter works. Aftermarket triple gauges, Autometer tach and Autometer fuel pressure gauge.
Aftermarket fuel gauge as well.
ALL LIGHTS, HI/LO, TAIL, BRAKE, TURN SIGNALS WORK.
Charging system works great!
15 gallon aluminum fuel cell with sending unit.
Car is caged and subframe is tied. Everything rock solid.
TRANSMISSION:
Rebuilt reverse manual valve body 727 Pushbutton torque flite
4000 stall B&M torque convertor
Heavy duty aluminum driveshaft with loop
Moroso pan
Trans cooler
ENGINE:
440 bored 0.30 with Keith Black 10:1 pistons
Eagle rods
906 built heads with adjustable rockers
Hughes .555" intake / .575" exhaust solid lift cam
Edelbrock dual carb intake
(2) 1405 600cfm Edelbrock carbs
MSD 7AL Ignition system, MSD Blaster coil and MSD Starter Saver
Gear reduction starter
Moroso deep pan
Holley fuel pump and regulator set up
I am more than certain I am forgetting things but this is a pretty detailed breakdown.
The car is fun and consistant.
Could be made into a pro street car with DOT tires and exhaust.
Slicks and safety harnesses are 2018 so to be competitive they would need replaced.
CAR IS STRONG!!! STARTS RIGHT UP AND PULLS HARD!!
The car has been a race car since the 1980's. I do have an old title from the '80's but is in bad shape.
