Dart's LS Next blocks are a big jump over their OE counterparts and have a long history of boost. The aluminum LS Next blocks carry a significant price premium over their iron aftermarket blocks but offer substantial benefits. They weigh 100 lbs less and cool far better than iron. The weight reduction shifts also shifts the vehicle's center of gravity. This noticeably affects steering, braking and launch. The downside is that iron blocks are stronger.
LS Next Features:
- Dart priority main oiling system with provisions for stock oil filter mounting.
- Siamesed cylinder bores with thick walls.
- Cylinder barrels extended 0.375" at the bottom of the bores relative to OEM.

- Blind head bolt holes.
- 6 bolt per cylinder capability.
- Scalloped water jackets increase flow around cylinders for better cooling.
