1940 Ford Pickup “Scrap Iron” is a beautifully refined 1940 Ford Pickup that blends iconic prewar Ford styling with thoughtful customization, craftsmanship and comfort. Finished in vibrant orange over a custom tan leather interior, this truck has the presence and detail of a true showpiece.
Power comes from a tuned-port-injected 350ci small-block V8 backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The engine features headers, a smoothed block and smoothed transmission case for a clean, finished presentation.
Built from an original 1940 Ford truck cab, the custom body features a 3.5-inch chopped roof, one-piece windshield, frenched headlights and shaved door handles with electronic poppers. Independent front suspension, a Corvette rear end and disc brakes provide excellent handling and stopping power.
The tan leather interior features a custom dash, wood-inlaid console and custom wood steering wheel. The hand-formed 20-gauge steel bed is finished with an African Satin wood floor accented by intricate walnut inlay, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship throughout the build.
Lazear billet wheels complete the stance, while Vintage Air, power steering, power windows, power locks, seat belts and tilt steering add comfort and convenience.
“Scrap Iron” is a sophisticated custom pickup that brings together timeless Ford design, meticulous craftsmanship and serious V8 power in one exceptional package.
