This former B Sedan SCCA 1971 Datsun 510 was converted into a race car in the early 1970s and used in SCCA competitions through 1983, it was parked for approximately 39 years by its previous owner. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN CRASHED AND RETAINS ALL OF IT'S FACTORY WELDS AND PANELS aside from BRE fiber glass added for lightening, not because of a shunt. In February 2022 it went a mechanical recommissioning before being raced at the Velocity Invitational at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca in October 2022. A Rebello Racing-built 1.8L inline-four has been installed, (ZERO RACING HOURS dyno time only) and it is equipped with dual Mikuni 44mm carburetors with velocity stacks, a period BRE intake manifold, a Stahl tubular header, a fuel cell, and MSD electronic ignition. BRE fiberglass hood, fenders, trunk. Additional work: installed Ermish replacement five-speed dog-box manual transmission and a Nismo R160 limited-slip differential, as well as replacing the fuel cell bladder and pump, master cylinders, alternator, suspension bushings, brake components, and harnesses, new Sparco seat.
