Power comes from a 427 Side Oiler equipped with dual Holley carburetors, Blue Thunder aluminum heads, forged crankshaft, roller camshaft, roller lifters, roller rockers, MSD ignition, and a high-volume mechanical fuel pump. The engine is backed by a race-prepared C4 automatic featuring a trans brake, manual valve body, hardened 800 HP-rated input shaft, and upgraded 6-pinion planetary gear set.
The drivetrain is completed by a Ford 9-inch rear with 5.10 gears and Strange Engineering axles, while the chassis benefits from a custom 6-point bolt-in roll cage with removable side bars, subframe connectors, and a driveshaft safety loop.
The body is based on an original 1964 Fairlane 2-door post and features a fiberglass teardrop hood, fiberglass fenders, fiberglass bumpers, and fiberglass trunk lid. Finished in white and sitting on Weld Racing wheels with front runners and rear slicks, the car has the unmistakable stance and presence that made the original Thunderbolts legendary.
