NHRA legend “Big Daddy” Don Garlits’ career is as big and loud as anybody’s but his newest Swamp Rat dragster is everything BUT loud. Garlits’ new battery-powered dragster sent Steve Huff into the staging beams at over 200mph during a Pep Boys Electric Vehicle Service exhibition pass at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. A native of Chula Vista, California, Fellows was a co-star of the Discovery/Discovery+ street drag racing show that began airing in 2013. A statement was made by Discovery officials on Twitter: “The Street Outlaws family is heartbroken by the accident that led to the tragic death of Ryan Fellows.
