stock block? 60 over is pretty thin.......crack in the cylinder wall?

check the plugs to see if you have one that is really wet

Could have gotten into water passage, when clearing the block for bigger stroke crank.

the only way i seen anyone get lucky with a 60 over block and not have the block cracking or running hot issues is when they used the HD chevy nickle block...... other then that i myself would only use a 60 std block for an everyday... go to work and home.... driver only  60 is just a waste of money in my honest opinion

aint nothing wrong with a 60 over 350. built many of them and run quite a few hard at the track. never had a minutes problem.
