I think high 11's is a stretch, I had a similar SBC in a 85 Monte Carlo, similar weight, less gear, and its best time was 12.86.
Good Luck

I thought my Monte would have been a good candidate for a small shot of spray 125/150, so one way to get there would be a small plate of spray.

my bro runs a 355 in his vega with eagle rotating assmby and hogged out edelbrock heads and two speed glide/ 4500 stall... 488 gears ... 32in tire... it ran a best of 10.37 in the 1/4 and low 1.30's 60 foot times

i think you should be more worried about running that 488 gear on the street then a 3800 stall.... lol

i ran a 3800 stall in my street camaro but with 411 gears and a turbo 400 trans

i love my 4.88's hahaha i was thinking going 4.11 after a while so i could go farther its 12 miles to town and 3000 rpm at 45 mph but i love them

Think you're geared too short . . at least for the quarter mile . .
