There are long check scams running all over the place now. I have had three buyers try to write bad checks against major banks and get me to deposit them. They are hoping your standing with your bank will cover and then they have the parts and the extra cash they scam with a long check.

We have a buyer who sent a check fkr $1950 when our item is $400. He said the rest is for the movers. I verified funds with his bank but an still untrusting

Cash and carry only solves that problem
That's the oldest scam in the book!

There is another post under Feedback and Scammers section today about the same thing. It shows there are funds in the account, but it is set up that any checks written on the account will not be cashed.
