batteries ?

Just thought I'd ask,Why do people use 2 batteries if they have a alternator ?It seams redundant to me. That's around 50 lbs of extra wieght.

Not sure. I'd rather run 1 battery and an alternator than run 2 batteries without an alternator like so many people do. Or better yet, 1 16 volt battery :wink:

I use 2 batteries with a 100amp alternator.

I like the feeling that I can go 10 rounds and never need worry about charging at the track. Just one less thing to do every round.

Also that extra cranking power helps with starter life with high compression.

And my car is nose heavy so the extra weight in the back aids traction.
