I've got 'the ANIMAL' up on stands and have already cut most of the cage out. 15+ years ago when I built the car as a 4cylinder oval car, I used schedule 40 pipe for all the cage work. Am replacing it with the proper .120 X 1 3/4 HREW TUBING.
Will be making room for a passenger seat so I can take my crew chief along when I Autocross, and I can ride with her !
Won't be doing much else at this time(that can change as we have a looooong time till Spring !

If the car has to certify i would suggest you go with .134 wall tubing, that way it will for sure certify since sometimes the .120 wall sonic's a little thinner at min. of .115

Hey Zip, No cert required in autocross/hillclimb.
Lively, You couldn't get my dead body hooked up to a bungee jump !
I like a LITTLE more control than that !

Hey Ken, I was funnin' with ya also, Bro :D :D :D
We also haul AZZ not 'SHINE :D :D :D :D
It can be very intense when you're trying to shave off a fraction of a second each run. You are literally right on the edge of traction with steep drop offs on one side and real hard trees and boulders on the other. It boils down to just how big of 'nads yer packin' or how small a brain you're packin'.
There's one in Virginia City, NV that's 5.2 miles long where all entrants must be street legal;
