sbc stroker , punched out 60 over , dart alu. heads, super vickter intake, just replaced head gaskets and intake gaskets (felpro) permatexed around water jackets on the intake and i'm still detting water in the oil , not as bad as before but bad enough,,,,

stock block? 60 over is pretty thin.......crack in the cylinder wall?
check the plugs to see if you have one that is really wet :wink:

Could have gotten into water passage, when clearing the block for bigger stroke crank.

yea just pulled all the plugs and spun the motor, stot water out of # five ,,,,,,,,,,cracked block ,,,,,bummer ,,,,, but got a spare block,,,

i would never go 60 over on a stock block.... unless its the old heavy duty nickle truck block :wink:

yea i hear ya , think i might keep the spare block @ 30 over and buy new pistons ,,,,,,

You have NOTHING to worry about @ +.060 on a 350 Block,thats Only 4.060.A Stock 400 is 4.125.
Must have Ran a Couple DOZEN back in the 70's @ +.060!!!Never had a Problem,Until the 400 JUNK Came along,...............>
You say its a Stroker,....?How much Stroke do you have?

the only way i seen anyone get lucky with a 60 over block and not have the block cracking or running hot issues is when they used the HD chevy nickle block...... other then that i myself would only use a 60 std block for an everyday... go to work and home.... driver only :wink: 60 is just a waste of money in my honest opinion :roll:

aint nothing wrong with a 60 over 350. built many of them and run quite a few hard at the track. never had a minutes problem.
