WILL THEY ABSORB FUEL OVER TIME AND CAUSE PROBLEMS?
JUST WONDERING I CHANGED MY CAM THIS YEAR A LITTLE MORE LIFT SAME DURATION LSA IS 108 OLD WAS 111,CAR KINDA STUMBLES WHEN I LAUNCH IT(FOOTBRAKE)I TRIED BIGGER SHOOTER AND JETS,WENT DOWN IN JETS STILL DOES THE SAME THING,LAST YEAR I HAD NO PROLEMS,BUT I DID NOT DRAIN THE VP 110 OUT OF THE CARB OVER THE WINTER.TOOK IT APART BEFORE I FIRST RACE IT FUEL HAD EVAPORATED.I BLEW OUT THE CARB PASSAGES AND PUT ALL NEW GASKETS IN IT ALSO.

never crossed my mind at the time i shall replace them and see what happens

Jeff, just to answer your original question. Yes those floats sometimes can get soaked with fuel. Take them out when they have been sitting in a full fuel bowl and weigh them comparing to the weight of a new one to see if they have gone bad. Unfortunately you have to buy a new one to get the weight in the first place unless you can borrow a new one.

Nitrophyl double angle cut 9.5
Nitrophyl notched 10.8
Brass 15.0

Make sure you buy quality floats when using nitrophyl, there are some cheap ones out there that don't last. BLP is a great source for quality Holley parts.
