With great sadness I regret to inform to my follow dragracers that George Ray has passed away.
The man was a dragracing legend here in the Midsouth.
He ran George Rays wildcat track in Paragould Ark for many many years.
It was a heads-up only run what you brung track.
Entry fee was only 7 dollars, been that way since the day he opened the track back in the sixties.
RIP George Ray

I just watched a video of George and his track on YouTube last night. If you ever get a chance, watch the segment Joe from Horsepower TV does on Mr. Ray and his track. May you rest in peace Mr. Ray and thank you for all you've done.

I had planned on going up there next year for the first time to run and meet George. It is a shame he is gone and my prayers go out to the family.
