2004r or 700r4

lookin for so input. Iam doin a few upgrades on my car this winter, im lookin at buildin and overdrive transmission, as i do a lot of highway driving. Been reading alot about the 2004r and the 700r4. My car in an 1983 monte carlo, with and 350 and is around 400horespower. I am looking and running 4:11 gears as i still will be running this at the track.
