well if ur lookin to rabuild just have some head work done and get some flattop pistons
but i fnot u could just buy some new heads with a smaller combustion chamber
and if u dont want to spend that money u could even cheap out and just take the heads and have a valve job done and have them mill the heads down a few ccs

dart iron eagles are the best for the money
but world makes a good head too and they're a lil cheaper
and cam wise i say a comp or voodoo prolly around a 520 lift

Yep about 250-260 sounds about right. A 1992 350 truck (C/K 1500) application w/ TBI all stock was only about 155/hp!! You would be surprised how little HP they had.

i knew it didn't feel like it had alot, so i got to do something about that trying to make a nice show truck with a little pep

Is your 1990 a Gen V block? If it is, I think you will have to find some heads for the Gen V block for the upper water hole alignment. I am not positive, but you will have to check it out.

PISTONS ARE WAY CHEAPER THAN HEADS.

Is this a duelly truck by chance :?: I wouldn't touch it if it is, i can guarentee you that the Edelbrock EFI, will not be worth the $2,000.00 over the throttle body. If it's conventual truck, not a duelly, you'd be better off to change the heads, and up the cam a little and stay with the throttle body. I've got a 1993 duelly with 189,000 miles on it and it pulls a 28 ft Haulmark with an over 3,000 lb car all day as fast as the speed limit allows, and will still spin the tires with no load on it, i wouldn't touch it for nothing. It's never had any engine work done too it, but i'm a little surprised that the plastic timing gear hasn't gone out yet.
