an old man sells vegtables/fruit from an old "tom's snacks" truck and
goes around the niegborhood, his truck would'nt start and he was just
down the street. went to help and could smell gas but heard the
carb sucking for gas. he said the truck has been actiing up and
smells of gas with a small leak, the pump had come
lose and loosened the fuel line as well, even the gasket was torn,
made a new gasket, tightened up the pump/lines and cleaned the
dist. cap and it started right up, he gave me a bag of apples, bag
of oranges, and a bag of bannas for my grandkids, the 350 needed
a tune-up and i have extra parts for a 350 so he's coming over this
wk end for me to tune it up, in exchange for vegtables and fruit,
its a pleasure not working on a computer engine and 350's are
nice to work on, got fruit?

At the prices of veggies at the super market today, i got a feeling you'll come out ahead on this tune-up.

he's an old man trying to make a clean living and it's nice that
he brings fresh vegtables and fruit right to your door. and
he always gives my grandkids bananas, andhe reminds me
of my father

i was born and raised on fresh vegtables...My grandfather had a nice garden.

we also would get a tall Glass of Cold buttermilk Crush up some corn bread..and sometime throw in some diced up onions .

i can close my eye's and still see myself in the living room with my grand parents watching black and white TV with rabbit ears ...eating this stuff..

Those were the days

that's funny bjuice, the corn the old man sells me is boiled and then
i slice the corn in a cup and top it with sour cream and a little chili
powder and my grandkids eat that stuff up, and i admire them as
they eat it just like your grandparent probably did when you were
eating your cornbread mixture, kids like sour stuff :)
