I sold my mustang to my brother in AZ I did not have the car very long it has a 5.0 race motor in it but he can not find the dip stick any ford guys out there it is a 84 notch.

maybe it don't have one. Some people don't run em on race cars...I don't. One more thing to pop out and leak...iduno.

Usually, they're around the mid-point of the block on the drivers side.

s/b ford dipstick is on right side on timing cover.

On a fox body it'll use a rear sump pan. The tube would be on the left (driver's) side about 1/2 way back. If it's a post-1980 block it will be in the block just above the pan rail if it's an older block it will be in the side of the oil pan. if someone used a newer style pan with the older block there will be no provision for the tube. It may have an older timing cover with a place for a tube in the lower right (passanger) side. You will not be able to use this if it does have one because the sump is in the rear and that location is for the older front sump pan and you won't get an accurate read on the oil level with the rear sump pan. I hope I didn't confuse anyone.
