Didn't someone say they had cleanable reusable oil filters on here? Do they work as well as the disposable ones? I hope this wasn't a figment of my imagination :lol:

fram hp - 4 rated 9 gal per minute

Ford/Mopar style screw on.
8431 - 22 = net $200.00
Ford/Mpar screw on. 4-6 gpm flow w/ paper type filter.

8900 - GM size filter mounting threads gpm 39 = net $329.95

harley davidson
8110 bf - 18 gpm flow Cost same as Chevy.

An example of filtering ability;
Pure Power = 12 micron rated nominal.
coffee filters = 13 micron flow rating
oil filter paper that oil will not flow through = 5 micron

GM sized filter mounting thread = 13/16

Special for racing Remote wix racing - 651222R filter mount thread = 1.50
Rated flow = 21 to 24 gpm contains a 18 psi bypass filer diameter over 4'' in dia

[ if the surface of paper used in oil filters had holes in it like coffee filters do that oil could flow through, the paper would become saturated with oil and pressure would open the holes up bigger. oil dps not flow through paper. It flows by paper and the paper pleaats and indentations and surface grab the dirt and debris. The pressure exits at the end of filter to the center.
