I've been looking around here and there for a 454 block, 2 bolt or 4 bolt virgin to 60 over. I've found some good deals and they are gone when I get there the other ones I find seem to be more $ then I think they are worth, what do you guys think a 454 block is worth now days ?

I been looking to spend 250-300 for a 2bolt and 350-400 for 4 bolt, a year ago I found several this year nothing when I want it. am I being to cheap or are they just wanting to much ?

Around here in MN a complete Gen IV 2 bolt engine goes from 500-600 depending if it has 049 or 781 heads on it, and a 4 bolt block is around 700 plus. Good luck.

There is a NEW set sitting in the machine shop but they are for 18* big dukes for a 4'' stroke, 6.535 rod, 9.8 DH. I'm not sure what your combo consists of. Between my boss, friend of mine and me are all big duke/ chief.

Its a tall deck bowtie block conv heads though. Thanks for letting me know though. I got a good deal on a 4.625 block last summer that needed a sleeve, thought I'd try and find some pistons for it.
